Our Mission
NHIN Watch is an independent reporting site. We check health claims, online offers, seller details, and sales tactics. We are not a clinic, regulator, law firm, police agency, or emergency service. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe.
What We Investigate
We examine health offers that show warning signs. We look for false stories, cure claims, sales pressure, hidden fees, and fake credentials. We gather public facts from websites, ads, business records, and agency files. Then we explain what we found in plain language.
We also help readers verify an online health claim before you buy and explain how we investigate online health scams. When someone has already lost money, we point them toward what to do after an online health scam.
What We Do Not Do
We do not call a person, company, or offer criminal or fraudulent without proof. We do not test products, make purchases, or conduct undercover operations. We do not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or recommend treatments. We do not replace your doctor, pharmacist, or lawyer.
We also do not investigate every complaint or guarantee that every claim we examine is false. Some offers may be legal but misleading. Others may be legitimate but poorly explained. Our job is to report what the evidence shows, not to settle disputes or make final judgments.
How to Use This Site
Read our reporting to spot red flags and understand how deceptive health marketing works. Use the official resources below to report a scam, check a product’s safety status, or file a complaint with a regulator. If you have already sent money or shared personal information, act quickly: contact your bank, credit card company, or the authorities listed below.
Do not assume that because we have not written about a seller, it is safe. Do not assume that because a claim sounds scientific, it is true. Always check with your doctor before trying a new supplement or treatment, especially if you take other medicines or have a health condition.
Our Independence
NHIN Watch is editorially independent. A company cannot buy a finding, suppress a correction, or pay to be removed from an investigation. If a page contains advertising or an affiliate link, we disclose that relationship clearly. Revenue does not decide what the evidence says.
We keep commercial links separate from our evidence work. A link is not an endorsement, and a commission does not prove that a product is safe, effective, or suitable for you. Investigation subjects receive no advance promise about our conclusion.
What Strong Reporting Looks Like Here
A useful NHIN Watch investigation should let you retrace the work. It should identify the exact ad or claim, show where the link leads, name the seller when that identity can be verified, and explain what the checkout and refund terms say. It should also label missing facts instead of guessing.
Health claims get an extra check. We separate claims about a finished product from research about one ingredient. We also look for safety warnings, dose details, and product-specific evidence. A study about an ingredient does not automatically prove that a branded product works.
Our reporting may begin with a competitor tip, reader submission, trending ad, or public alert. Those leads are not evidence by themselves. We independently capture and verify the material before using it in a published finding.
