Willow GLP-1 Scam Watch: Price, Safety and Refunds

posted on October 8, 2026

Willow GLP-1 is a real online program that the maker says connects eligible adults with U.S.-licensed physicians for compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. It may be an option if you want an online assessment, home delivery and ongoing messages with a clinician; the key is to confirm your medication, dose, total monthly charge and renewal date before you pay.

Is Willow GLP-1 legit?

Willow Health Services says it is a technology platform, not the healthcare provider or pharmacy. Its terms say independent physicians provide consultations and pharmacies fill prescriptions when a clinician decides a prescription is appropriate.

The ad says, “Doctor-prescribed treatment made for you” and “100% online, with unlimited access to care.” That means you complete an online health assessment, a physician reviews it, and medication is sent only if the clinician prescribes it. Willow says the program is for adults 18 and older in listed states and does not accept people with diabetes.

One important detail is clear: Willow says its semaglutide and tirzepatide products are compounded medications. The seller says these products are not FDA approved, and the FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality in the same way it reviews approved drugs.

What does Willow say it offers?

Willow markets injectable semaglutide and tirzepatide, plus daily dissolving tablet options. The maker says semaglutide acts on GLP-1 receptors involved in appetite and digestion, while tirzepatide acts on GLP-1 and GIP receptors.

The program says it includes a medical evaluation, treatment plan, physician messaging, Care Team support and shipping. It also says a physician usually reviews an assessment within 24 hours. Pharmacy processing is listed as two to four business days, followed by two to three days for delivery.

How much does Willow GLP-1 cost?

Prices below were shown October 7, 2026; check the checkout for today’s total. Willow says its program starts at $299 per month. It says medication cost varies by prescription and dosage, so a specific Willow tirzepatide price is not published in the material here.

Cost item What Willow says
Program starting price $299 per month
Medical evaluation and treatment plan Included
Physician access and Care Team support Included
Shipping Included; described as free
Semaglutide or tirzepatide dose-specific cost Not published
Insurance Not required; Willow says HSA/FSA can be used

Why can it feel expensive? The advertised monthly price bundles the online clinical program, prescription process, medication through a pharmacy partner and shipping. Ask support for the exact price of the medicine and dose a clinician may discuss with you before you submit payment.

Are Willow semaglutide products FDA approved?

No. Willow says its compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide and NAD+ products are not approved by the FDA. Its terms also say compounded medicines are prepared for a specific patient from a licensed prescriber’s prescription and are not reviewed or approved in the same manner as FDA-approved drugs.

If FDA approval is important to your choice, ask the clinician which exact product is being considered and whether it is compounded. That gives you a direct answer before the prescription is sent.

What side effects and medicine questions should you raise?

Willow lists nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, decreased appetite and indigestion as possible semaglutide and tirzepatide side effects. The seller says many effects improve as the body adjusts, but persistent or worsening symptoms should be raised with a healthcare professional.

Ask about Why it matters
Your current medicines Your prescribing clinician needs your full medication list before deciding what is appropriate.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding Willow says its program is not for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Diabetes Willow says it cannot accept people with diabetes.
Past side effects or digestive symptoms These can help the clinician discuss what to expect and whether a plan fits you.
Stopping after a short period Willow says appetite and weight gain may increase after stopping and says its physician can discuss continuing, lowering a dose or transitioning off.

Do not guess about what to mix with semaglutide. Give the prescribing clinician every prescription, over-the-counter medicine and supplement you use. The clinician can tell you what applies to your situation.

How long does it take to lose 20 pounds?

There is no promised timeline. Willow’s homepage includes customer stories reporting different amounts of weight loss, but individual results vary and the seller does not promise a 20-pound result by a certain date. A clinician can help you set a realistic plan based on your health history and prescribed treatment.

If your weight changes without trying, do not treat it as a weight-loss shortcut. Cleveland Clinic’s unexplained weight loss guide says a noticeable unplanned loss can need medical assessment, especially when it reaches 10 pounds or 5% of body weight over six to 12 months.

What should you know about renewal, cancellation and refunds?

Willow says the program renews automatically. Its FAQ says you can cancel by messaging the Patient Care Team at least two business days before the next processing date.

Willow says you receive a full refund if you cancel before the prescription is sent to the pharmacy, with refunds issued within five to 10 business days. A request received after that cutoff applies to the next cycle. Keep a copy of your cancellation message and ask for written confirmation of the effective cancellation date.

If you already paid and need help, contact Willow through its chat tool or at support@startwillow.com with your name, order details and the date of your request. State plainly whether you are asking to cancel the next renewal, cancel an unfilled prescription or request the refund described in its policy.

Before you decide

  • Confirm that Willow serves the state where you are physically located.
  • Ask for the exact medication, form, dose and total monthly charge before payment.
  • Ask when the next automatic renewal will process.
  • Share your full medication list and health history with the clinician.
